HULC
October 04, 2011 | by Ellen Cotton

The Lockheed Martin HULC is an un-tethered hydraulic-powered anthropomorphic exoskeleton that allows users to carry loads of up to 200 lbs for extended periods of time over all terrains. Its flexible design allows for deep squats, crawls and upper-body lifting. The HULC senses what users want to do and where they want to go and augments their ability, strength and endurance by way of an onboard micro-computer. The HULC has a unique power-saving design that allows the user to operate on battery power for extended missions.
