Snakebots have many more degrees of freedom than conventional robots, enabling them to get to places where people cannot go, while at the same time, not disturbing the surrounding areas. Because of this, they’re able to use their long serpentine bodies to find their way through narrow crawl spaces, rubble, dangerous situations, and even through our bodies.
